On 8 June 2026, Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze paid a farewell visit to Her Excellency the Honorable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland in the Governor House. Madam Ouyang Hongbing was also present.

Dr Ruan thanked Her Excellency the Honorable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM for her longstanding support and assistance. He remarked that during his tenure he had witnessed growing exchanges and increasingly close interactions between China and Queensland. He expressed the hope that mutual trust would continue to be enhanced through expanded dialogue and exchanges.

The Governor commended Dr Ruan for his valuable contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation during his tenure. She affirmed her continued support for strengthening cooperation and collaboration across a wide range of areas in the years ahead between Queensland and China.
